[CBSE class 12 exams] Supreme Court quashes CBSE decision to treat improvement exam marks as final

The Court ordered CBSE to consider the better of the marks between the original and improvement examinations for the evaluation of results of class 12 exams.

The Supreme Court on Friday struck down a clause in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) policy which mandated that the marks obtained in the improvement examination for class 12 exams shall be considered as final even if the marks obtained in the original exam were more than in the improvement exams [Sukriti & ors v Central Board of Secondary Education].
