The Central Government on Friday cleared the appointment of six judicial officers and three advocates as judges of Rajasthan High Court.
A tweet was shared by the Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on his Twitter handle.
The following are the judicial officers who have been appointed:
Rajendra Prakash Soni
Ashok Kumar Jain
Yogendra Kumar Purohit
Bhuwan Goyal
Praveer Bhatnagar
Ashutosh Kumar
The advocates who have been appointed are:
Ganesh Ram Meena
Anil Kumar Upman
Nupur Bhati
The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the appointment of Meena in September 2021.
The names of the remaining 8 persons were recommended by the Collegium on November 23, 2022.
The Rajasthan High Court which has a sanctioned strength of 50 judges is currently working with 27 judges, a vacancy position of 23.
