The Supreme Court Collegium on Thursday recommended that two additional judges of the Chhattisgarh High Court be made permanent judges..The two judges are Justices Narendra Kumar Vyas and Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi.The decision was taken in a meeting of the Collegium held on November 23, the resolution of which was uploaded today.If the appointments receive Presidential assent, the number of permanent judges in the High Court will go from 8 to 10, and the overall vacancies will reduce from 8 to 6.The High Court, against a sanctioned strength of 17 permanent and 5 additional judges, is currently working with 8 permanent and 6 additional judges. .[Read Collegium Statement]
