Coronavirus: NCLT Benches close filing counters till March 27

Parties are directed to not make any filing except for matters which are likely to be hit by limitation.

To prevent the risk of commmunity transmission of Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, filing counters at all NCLT Benches shall remain closed till March 27.

The Notice by Registrar, NCLT Principal Bench reads,

"It is observed that all the NCLT Benches have become overcrowded at filign counters, which may lead to community transmission of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), therefore, it is decided to close the filing counters of all the NCLT Benches hereof..filign counters of all the NCLT Benches shall remain closed till 27.03.2020."

The parties are directed to not make any filing expcet for matters which are likely to be hit by limitation.

For matters likely to be hit by limitation, fililng before the Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Amravati and Jaipur Benches can be done online, and hard copies may be handed over when the filing counters re-open.

For other NCLT Benches, an application, without annexures, with reagards the limitation issue may be filed through email of respective Registrars.

Earlier this week, the NCLT had decided to hear only urgent matters till March 27.
