COVID-19: Full Bench of Bombay High Court further extends life of interim orders till August 31 [Read Order]

Stay orders or decrees passed by the court/ tribunal/ authority in eviction/ dispossession and demolition matters will also continue until August 31, unless directed otherwise.

Taking note that "the situation arising out of the pandemic is yet to improve", the Bombay High Court on Wednesday further extended the life of all interim orders until August 31 (In re extension of Interim Orders).

The Court's order today also effectively means that stay orders or decrees passed by the court/ tribunal/ authority in eviction/dispossession and demolition matters will continue until August 31, unless directed otherwise.

To this end, the full Bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justices AA Sayed, SS Shinde and KK Tated has extended the application of its earlier orders on the issue until August 31.

The first of these orders was passed on March 26, two days after the first national COVID-19 lockdown was announced. On April 14, it was extended until June 15, and on June 15, it was extended until July 15.
