Functioning of Courts via Video Conference during COVID-19 Lockdown: Calcutta High Court switches from 'Skype' to 'Microsoft Teams'

The High Court has advised the advocates and parties concerned to download the app for future use.

The Calcutta High Court has intimated that it would be switching to using Microsoft Teams to conduct video conference hearings of urgent matters during the COVID-19 lockdown.

A notification issued to this end today informs that the word “Skype” used in the notification dated March 28 stands replaced by “Microsoft Teams”.

The High Court had issued a notification on March 28, with regard to video conferencing in case of urgent matters during the lockdown. Thereby, it was notified that the AOR/Party-in-person should also mention their ‘Skype’ contact details when making a request to hear the matter.
