Go in your Lamborghini, sweep the streets: Karnataka High Court slams traffic rules violator

The owner of green Lamborghini, who was captured on video driving the car recklessly, was asked by the Karnataka High Court to undertake community service as condition to quash the criminal case against him [Chiranth BR v State of Karnataka]

Justice M Nagaprasanna passed the direction while agreeing to quash the criminal case lodged against the accused Chiranth BR.

The judge said that he will pass a detailed order to that effect.

The Court was hearing a plea by Chiranth to quash the case lodged against him at Kengeri police station.

The case was registered after a video of his reckless driving in the car with a retrofitted silencer went viral on social media

The incident happened in December 2025.

He had paid fine for the same but a crime was registered after the police found that the retrofitted silencer was not changed.

He then moved the Court claiming the silencer was replaced.

Advocate Rajath, appearing for the accused, submitted that the Lamborghini driver was being portrayed as an offender though he has not committed any offence.

Justice Nagaprasanna disagreed.

"You will go in your Lamborghini, sweep the streets come back in your Lamborghini," the judge said.

The Court then asked what community service the accused will undertake.

The counsel replied that Chiranth would undertake teaching school children about traffic signals.

"So you have violated traffic so you will teach traffic. Children will learn - how to violate and learn," Justice Nagaprasanna responded in lighter vein.

The State's counsel too said it will be ironic if a person who drove a Lamborghini in a rash and negligent manner teaches students about traffic signals in schools.

He further suggested that such community service should have some co-relation with the offence and cited the example of a doctor who rendered service in government hospital every Sunday for six months after he was found guilty of contempt of court.

The Court said the FIR would be quashed and an order prescribing for community service will be passed.
