The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh recently refused to entertain a public interest litigation (PIL) petition seeking directions to declare Hindi as official language in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladaakh [Jagdev Singh V/s Union of India & Ors.].
