Justice SV Gangapurwala sworn in as Chief Justice of Madras High Court

Since the retirement of Madras High Court CJ MN Bhandari on September 12, 2022, the senior-most judges of the High Court had been serving as Acting Chief Justice.

CJ Gangapurwala and Governor RN Ravi

Justice Sanjay Vijaykumar Gangapurwala has assumed charge as the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court.

Justice Gangapurwala was administered the oath of office at the Raj Bhavan in Chennai by Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi.
