Karnataka High Court to examine all govt orders passed after September 16, 2020 withdrawing criminal cases against sitting/ former MPs, MLAs

The order was passed by the High Court in the light of the Supreme Court's direction that criminal cases against MPs and MLAs cannot be withdrawn without prior sanction of the concerned High Court.

The Karnataka High Court on Monday directed the State government to place on record all orders issued by the government after September 16, 2020 withdrawing of criminal cases against sitting and former Members of Parliament and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MPs and MLAs).
