Madras High Court directs State to probe ill treatment of foreign nationals in Chennai prison

The Court was hearing a petition filed by a Nigerian national, alleging that several inmates at the Central prison are deprived of meals and kept in solitary confinement.

The Madras High Court Monday directed the State prison authorities to look into the allegations of ill treatment of foreign nationals lodged as prisoners at the Puzhal Central prison in Chennai.
