Madras High Court sets aside order directing Madras Bar Association to pay compensation, admit members irrespective of class

The single-judge had also directed the MBA to distribute admission forms to all lawyers desirous of becoming its members and to consider the applications without discriminating against anyone.

The Madras High Court on Monday set aside a single-judge’s order that directed the Madras Bar Association (MBA) to pay ₹5 lakh as compensation for preventing a lawyer from drinking water from the Association's office premises.
