Mother has divine powers to understand feelings of child: Bombay High Court while upholding conviction for rape
Considering the fact that the offence was committed made by a child in conflict with law, in accordance with the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act, the sentence was reduced to five years of rigorous imprisonment.
While upholding the conviction of an accused for the rape of a minor girl, the Aurangabad Bench of Bombay High Court observed that a mother has "divine powers" to understand the feelings of the child without being conveyed in words.
