Mumbai Court orders registration of FIR against Kangana Ranaut alleging copyright infringement, cheating in connection with book ‘Didda’

The complainant, author of the book, approached the Court claiming Ranaut induced him to send the script of the book with a valuation of Rs. 5 crores on the basis of trust, which Ranaut fraudulently breached.

Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Bandra directed the Khar police station to register a First Information Report (FIR) against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and three others on a complaint by Ashish Kaul, author of the book ‘Didda: Warrior Queen of Kashmir’ claiming Ranaut violated legal rights pertaining to the said book.
