"Where is NDMA decision:" Supreme Court reserves judgment in plea seeking ex-gratia payment of Rs 4 lakh for COVID deaths

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta clarified that it is not the case of the government that it has no funds, but the question is on how to utilise the funds.

The Supreme Court on Monday reserved its judgment on a plea seeking directions to the Central and State governments to provide ex-gratia compensation of Rs. 4 lakh to the family members of those who have succumbed to the COVID-19 disease and post COVID complications including mucormycosis.
