NLU Jodhpur student death: Supreme Court issues contempt notice to Rajasthan DGP

The top court had earlier set aside the closure report filed by the Rajasthan Police and called for a fresh investigation in the case.

The Supreme Court today issued a contempt notice to the Director General of Police, Rajasthan for terming the 2017 death of a student from National Law University, Jodhpur as an "accident" after having informed the top court that it was a case of homicidal death [Neetu Kumar Nagaich v. Mohan Lal Lather & Ors].
