PIL in Bombay HC calls for making COVID-19 medicines directly available in hospitals

The Petitioner has argued that it is difficult when the patients have to procure these medications from the market. In addition, the patient may have to pay a cost more than the MRP of the product, the Court was told.

A Public Interest Litigation has been filed by the President of the All Maharashtra Human Rights Welfare Association (AMHRWA) in the Bombay High Court urging that the Court direct the Union of India to allow the direct availability of COVID-19 medicines in hospitals and care centres for COVID patients.
