PIL before Madras High Court by 48-year-old law student against use of photos of late M Karunanidhi on government websites, ads

The petitioner, who appeared in-person, argued that the DMK government has been using late Karunanidhi's pictures on its websites, in several government advertisements for public programmes etc.

A law student has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petition before the Madras High Court seeking directions to the Tamil Nadu government to restrain from using photographs of former Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief and current chief minister MK Stalin's father, M Karunanidhi, on its websites and advertisements.
