Plea in Supreme Court seeks 'X' category security for all judicial officers

The petition said that there have been various incidents across the country which highlighted the threats faced by lawyers and judges thereby preventing them from discharging their duties independently.

A Public Interest Litigation has been filed before the Supreme Court seeking directions to the Central and State governments to immediately initiate and enforce guidelines and directions for the protection of the judicial officers and advocates.
