Plea in Supreme Court to defer Bihar elections till March 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic and floods

"... it will be better for the safety of the people of India to hold the said election sometime in the month of March, 2021 when the situation in the State is somewhat normalized....", the plea states.

A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court by the Rashtravadi Janata Party (RJP) seeking directions to the Election Commission of India to defer the Bihar elections scheduled for October and November this year, in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases.
