Petitioner states that he had received an email in March this year demanding donation into the PM Cares Fund. However, it averred that all objectives of the PMCF tally with those of the NDMF.

A contempt plea has been filed before the Supreme Court against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for not formulating the National Disaster Mitigation Fund (NDMF) as directed by the top court in 2016.
