Maharashtra govt to give free Mucormycosis treatment to poor people; Bombay High Court calls for wide publicity of schemes
The Aurangabad Bench also directed that private hospitals be restrained from raising "astronomical bills" for treatment of the Black Fungus disease.
The Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High court was informed on Monday that the treatment for Mucormycosis (Black fungus disease) is now covered under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Aarogya Yojana (MJPJAY) and the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (PMJAY) for eligible beneficiaries.
