The Supreme Court is hearing a batch of pleas challenging the UGC Guidelines mandating completion of final year exams by universities before Sept 30.

On July 30, the University Grants Commission (UGC) had informed the Supreme Court that it will not alter its July 6 guidelines mandating universities across India to conduct their final year examinations by September 2020
