Supreme Court issues notice in plea against Karnataka HC ruling that attending "jihadi meetings" is not terrorist act

The High Court had ruled that attending jihadi meetings and organising training shelters for members of an organisation which is not banned by the government, is not a terrorist act.

The Supreme Court on Friday issued notice in an appeal moved by the Central government against a Karnataka High Court verdict which ruled that attending “jihadi meetings” of organisations which are not outlawed by the government does not amount to a “terrorist act” [Union v. Saleem Khan].
