[Delhi Sealing] "Sealed shops originally purchased as commercial property should be de-sealed:" Supreme Court seeks report from Amicus Curiae

A Bench headed by CJI SA Bobde directed the Amicus Curiae to prepare a list of all such premises originally purchased as shops and were then sealed by MCD on ground of being changed from residential to commercial.

In what could come as a shot in the arm for various commercial establishments in Delhi, the Supreme Court on Wednesday observed that shops and establishments which were sealed by Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for unauthorised use, could be de-sealed if they were originally purchased as commercial property.
