Supreme Court accepts apology of lawyer in "Advocate Put Mine" case; says it caused lot of embarrassment

The Court had initiated suo motu proceedings to get to the bottom of the issue after its earlier order reflected "Mr. Put Mine, Advocate" as having appeared in the case.

The Supreme Court recently noted that the inadvertent mention of a lawyer's name as "Put Mine" on official records was due to an unintentional mistake by the clerk of the lawyer whose name was to appear in the order. (Ravindra Shah v. State of Maharashtra)
