Supreme Court Collegium recommends appointment of Justice SV Gangapurwala as Chief Justice of Madras High Court
Justice Gangapurwala was elevated as judge of Bombay High Court in 2010 and was appointed as its acting Chief Justice in December 2022 after then Chief Justice Dipankar Datta was elevated to Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court Collegium on Wednesday recommended the appointment of acting Chief Justice of Bombay High Court SV Gangapurwala as the Chief Justice of Madras High Court.
