The Supreme Court on Wednesday sought a response from the Election Commission of India (ECI) in a petition claiming that it deleted 46 lakh entries from the electoral rolls in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to “purify” the rolls [Srinivas Kodali v Election Commission of India].
