As per the report, one of the accused persons snatched Govind's phone. While the lawyer was initially able to hold him off, a second person came to help the first assailant and both the assailants proceeded to assault him. .Govind also reportedly said that a few passers-by helped him and that a Hoysala vehicle, patrolling close to the spot, took away the accused.The investigating team suspects that the accused men were habitual offenders..Following the incident, a case has been registered against the two accused for the offences of robbery and attempt to cause death or grievous hurt.
