Supreme Court notifies vacation bench for Holi Break

The Supreme Court will have Vacation Bench sitting during the one week long Holi break this year. Two separate Benches will sit, one on Monday March 9 and another on Thursday, March 12.

The Chief Justice of India, Justice SA Bobde, on March 5 announced in open Court that this year the Supreme Court will have a vacation Bench sitting during the week-long Holi Break to hear urgent matters.

Pursuant to the same, two separate Benches have been constituted to sit on two days of the week. These Benches will hear only urgent matters, the notice says.

On Monday, March 9, a Bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan and Surya Kant will sit in the Apex Court for hearing urgent matters.

On Thursday, March 12, a Bench of Justices UU Lalit and Aniruddha Bose will assemble for the same.
