Supreme Court refuses to entertain plea challenging mandatory FASTag for motor vehicles, asks petitioner to approach High Court

FASTag being a mechanism for realising toll tax, will only operate at highways and have no use for cars being driven in municipal limits of a State, the plea stated.

The Supreme Court on Friday refused to entertain a plea challenging the decision of the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to make the electronic toll collection system, FASTag mandatory for all vehicles.
