Supreme Court seeks Centre, States response on PIL for legally trained professionals to decide land disputes

The Supreme Court on Thursday issued notice to the Central and State governments and the Law Commission of India on a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking directions to ensure that land disputes are adjudicated by legally trained professionals, instead of revenue officials without formal legal education.
