The Supreme Court today agreed to hear on April 15 the plea filed by the Delhi Police alleging contempt on the part of Harsh Mander..Former IAS officer Harsh Mander, who is accused by the Delhi Police of making contemptuous statements against the Supreme Court, has been allowed to file his reply in the meantime..The Bench of Chief Justice of India SA Bobde and Justices BR Gavai and Surya Kant today deferred the hearing in the case. It also granted liberty to the Delhi Police to file an affidavit regarding another video clip which allegedly shows Mander making objectionable speeches..Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the Court at the beginning of the hearing that another video has been found by the authorities. The Court said that if the police wished to place the same on record, then they should file an affidavit and give a copy to the other party..As regards the speech in question in this instant matter, Senior Counsel Dushyant Dave, representing Harsh Mander, told the Court that a selective portion of the same was being spoken about by the Delhi Police.
