Supreme Court upholds Calcutta High Court order dismissing contempt plea against Harsh Lodha for continuing as director of MP Birla Group

Supreme Court directed Calcutta High Court to endeavour to dispose of the bunch of pending appeals filed by Lodha and the companies of the group as expeditiously as possible and before March 31, 2022.

The Supreme Court on Monday refused to entertain an appeal challenging the dismissal of the contempt petition filed against Harsh Vardhan Lodha for continuing as a director and chairman in Birla Corporation Ltd., Universal Cables Ltd., Vindhya Telelinks Ltd. and Birla Cable Ltd.
