This is a huge resource not only for lawyers etc but also for the law colleges who will benefit", he said. .Justice PS Narasimha, who was on the bench with the CJI and Justice JB Pardiwala, said that this would make the top court truly "court of record"."It will be truly a court of record as it will be recorded," Justice Narasimha said..Bar & Bench had first reported about the development and how the top court would be employing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology driven by Natural Language Processing for live transcription of its hearings..When the Court sat today, the CJI clarified that if there are two or more people speaking at once, there may be lack of clarity during the day, but by evening transcripts would be cleaned up. .Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal, who was present in court, said that this was truly a milestone and will help enable stakeholders to what arguments were made..A screen displaying the live transcription of court proceedings has been placed in Court Room 1, facing the lawyers.
