What is being done to prevent live-in relationships among adolescents? Punjab & Haryana High Court asks Central govt

The Court found that since no statutory law governs live-in relationships, the Court was left with no option but to allow protection to couples once they attain 18 years of age.

The Punjab & Haryana High Court recently took note of the legal vacuum to govern live-in relationships and sought the Central government’s response on measures being taken to prevent adolescents with impressionable minds from living together [Rohit Kumar v. State of UT Chandigarh].
