State of Maharashtra sanctions allowance of Rs 50,000 annually for Judges of Bombay High Court to buy spectacles

The resolution of the State's Department of Law and Justice states that this yearly allowance for the Judges would cover their spouses and dependents as well.

The State of Maharashtra, through a government resolution, has declared the sanction of Rs 50,000 each annually to the Judges of the Bombay High Court for the purpose of buying spectacles.

In its government resolution dated July 10, the government of Maharashtra has approved the sanction of Rs 50,000 for each Judge of the Bombay High Court for the specified purpose of buying spectacles.

The resolution of the State's Department of Law and Justice states that this yearly allowance for the Judges would cover their spouses and dependents as well.

The resolution adds that while utilising the funds allocated for this purpose, the orders passed by the government from time to time will have to be followed.
