Man who briefly went to Pakistan for job not "enemy", says Kerala High Court
A retired police officer had approached the High Court for relief after certain land that belonged to his father was viewed as "enemy" property since his father had briefly gone to Pakistan in 1953 to work at a hotel.
An Indian man cannot be termed an "enemy" under the Defence of India Act or its rules merely because he briefly worked in Pakistan, observed the Kerala High Court recently [P Ummer Koya v State of Kerala & ors].
