

Naik Naik & Co has opened a new office space located on the first floor of Mittal Towers, B-Wing at Nariman Point in South Mumbai.
The firm, which already had an office in Mittal Towers, now occupies an entire floor in the building with state of the art infrastructure, noise proof rooms and ergonomic desks.
Speaking at the inauguration of the event on January 20, Founding Partner Ameet Naik highlighted that the new office was a milestone marking 20 years of the firm's existence.
“The 20-years milestone swears by firm’s transition from a niche TMT practice to a full-service practice that has expanded substantially in the corporate transaction and dispute resolution space to service our clients in diverse sectors, offering a seamless amalgamation of industry focus and service lines. The ease with which we can manoeuvre both conventional and upcoming practice areas has strengthened our reputation as practice leaders.”, Naik said.

The strategic relocation reflects our commitment to providing an optimal work environment for our team members that captivates innovation and productivity. We are also poised to move into a larger office space in Andheri forour joint venture with Anand and Anand”, Naik further added.
The firm hosted a large gathering for colleagues which included members of the legal community including former Chief Justice of India UU Lalit and clientele which included members of the business, political and film fraternity.
Former Supreme Court judge Justice AM Khanwilkar along with former CJI Lalit were the chief guests for the event. The former judges inaugurated the new office space along with Naik’s mother, Uma Bhimrao Naik.
The event started with a pre-recorded message from Senior Advocate Harish Salve conveying his wishes and congratulating the firm for its tremendous growth.
Former CJI Lalit apprised the gathering that Naik’s family, like his own, hailed from Solapur and that the families had a connection of over 60 years.
Justice Khanwilkar said that Naik’s father, the Late Bhimrao Naik, was his role model and that the family had a legacy of academics that was carried on by his sons, Ameet and Vineet Naik (Senior Advocate).
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing virtually, congratulated Naik on the new office.
Senior Advocates Mukul Rohatgi and Gopal Subramanium also sent their best wishes through video recordings.
Senior Advocate Vineet Naik, brother of Ameet Naik, co-hosted the event. Ameet Naik informed the audience that his firm operated through the senior advocate’s office in the initial years before he could afford his own space.
Advocate General for Maharashtra Dr Birendra Saraf, Additional Solicitor General Devang Vyas, and Senior Advocates Darius Khambata and Janak Dwarkadas were also invited on the dias to speak on the occasion.
Pravin Anand, Partner at the newly formed entity Anand and Naik, said that Naik's calm and composed attitude brought about settlements and resolutions.
Abraham Vergis, Managing Director of Providence Law Asia had flown in from Singapore for the event. President of the Society of Indian Law Firms Dr Lalit Bhasin was also present and spoke about the firm's growth.
Bollywood celebrities Anil Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan also gave their best wishes to the legal firm that gave them advice and representation.
Several other members from the judicial fraternity and film industry marked their presence.
Former Supreme Court judge Justice BN Srikrishna and former Bombay High Court judges Justices Arvind Sawant, Dilip Bhosale and SJ Kathawalla were in attendance.
Future Group CEO Kishore Biyani, Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal’s wife Anita Goyal, Double Negative CEO Namit Malhotra, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, MLA Pratap Sarnaik and former Union Minister of State Milind Deora also came.
