NGT dismisses Karnataka government's plea seeking modification of order imposing ₹500 crore penalty for failure to protect Chandapura Lake

The National Green Tribunal at New Delhi on Wednesday dismissed a plea by the State of Karnataka seeking a modification of the Tribunal's order directing the State to immediately deposit ₹500 crores environmental compensation for failing to protect Chandapura lake in Bengaluru.
