Vodafone Senior VP Nitin Banerjee joins Cairn as General Counsel

Cairn, the oil and gas vertical of Vedanta Ltd, has appointed Nitin Banerjee as General Counsel.

Banerjee will be a member of Cairn Business Executive Committee (EXCO) and will help drive the company’s vision to contribute to 50 per cent of India’s crude oil & gas production, reported PTI.

Banerjee joins Cairn from Vodafone India, where he was working as the Senior Vice President – Legal Transactions. Before that he was with BG Group and prior to that he was a Partner at J. Sagar Associates.

Banerjee replaces Vidyut Gulati, who had left Cairn to join Bharti Enterprises as Director, Legal.
