Not mandatory for female lecturers to wear Saree to work: Kerala government

An order was issued in this regard after it was brought to the government’s notice that certain higher educational institutions were prescribing dress code for female lecturers.

The Kerala government has made it clear that there is no law in force in the State which mandates that female lecturers in higher educational institutions have to wear saree to work.
