Passport can be issued to convicts if conviction was more than 5 years ago: Kerala High Court
The Court held that Section 6(2)(e) of the Passport Act applies only if the applicant has been convicted for an offence and sentenced to a minimum of 2 years more than 5 years prior to applying for a passport.
