Phoenix Legal Equity Partner Jyoti Singh, who is also heading the firm’s Disputes and Insolvency practice in Mumbai, is leaving the firm to start her own boutique dispute resolution and litigation practice.
Confirming the development, Phoenix Legal Co-founder Sawant Singh said,
“We wish Jyoti all the best for her independent counsel practice and hope to collaborate with her in her new avatar.”
Jyoti specializes in civil and commercial disputes and litigation related to corporate insolvency and bankruptcy, banking and finance, shareholder disputes, corporate fraud, and white-collar crimes, among others.
She started her career at Jugal Wadhwa and Co. and thereafter moved to Dhir & Dhir Associates in 2005. In 2010, she joined Phoenix Legal to establish the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution practice in Mumbai.
On her decision to leave Phoenix Legal, Jyoti Singh said,
“After spending about a decade in Phoenix Legal, which was a great experience and has immensely bolstered my growth and career thus far, I felt it was now the right time to go independent and set up my own disputes practice.”
