[Lakhimpur Kheri case] Priyanka Gandhi not produced before magistrate after detention: Lawyers claim

The lawyers of Priyanka Gandhi have claimed that they are not being allowed to meet the detained Congress leader during her detention in relation to the Lakhimpuri Kheri case.."We are not being allowed to enter the guest house where she is detained. It's been more than eight hours but police is not allowing us," Advocates Shahab Ahmed and Varun Chopra, who came to meet her in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, told Bar & Bench..Gandhi was arrested at around 4 am in the morning of October 4 while she was traveling to Lakhimpur Kheri with four other persons, including two local Congress workers, Member of Parliament Deepinder Hooda and Sandeep Singh.The lawyers revealed that Gandhi has been detained for the last thirty six hours and has not been produced before a Magistrate."We are standing here since eight hours and police is not allowing us to go inside. We are here to meet Priyanka Gandhi, who has been illegally detained by the police authorities without any legal justification." said Ahmad.."I have myself seen a portion of a paper on social media in which they have named 11 people, 8 of whom were not even present at the time I was arrested.
