Bar & Bench

The Jaipur Bench of the Rajasthan High Court has announced the resumption of physical hearings at the Court from August 31.

Virtual hearings of cases at both the Jaipur and Jodhpur benches of the Court will continue over the Jitsi Meet application instead of Cisco Webex, the Court's communication informs.

The Notice lays down a detailed Standard Operating Procedure for virtual hearings over the new app.

Advocates/Parties-in-person who opt for a virtual hearing are required to intimate the Court master concerned at least a day before the case is due for hearing according to the Daily Cause List or before 8 AM on the day the case is scheduled as per the Supplementary Cause List.

Advocates have been asked to join the virtual call at least two to three cases before their case is due and to ensure that video and audio are stable and working properly.

Advocates have also been requested to dress appropriately for the virtual hearings.

"... please observe the same dress code and decorum as is required and applicable for physical appearance in court room", the Notice states.

The Jaipur Bench of the Rajasthan High Court has also notified that a drop box will be placed outside the main entrance of the New Court Building for Counsel/Parties to file urgency memos for their cases.
