Rajarshi Chakrabarti leaves Kochhar to join Vodafone

Rajarshi Chakrabarti, Partner at Kochhar & Co has left the firm to join Vodafone India as Associate Vice President-Legal. Rajarshi has joined Vodafone India with effect from May 2, 2012..Rajarshi was with Kochhar for almost 12 years, joining the Delhi office in November 2000 and later moving to Mumbai in 2006 to head the Mumbai office. Prior to joining Kochhar, Rajarshi was practicing in the Delhi High Court..A graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore, Rajarshi started his career as Assistant Legal Manager at Smithkline Beecham, where he worked only for a year before moving to litigation..Rajarshi specializes in corporate and commercial laws with an emphasis on transactional and regulatory work. His areas of practice includes corporate finance and investments, joint ventures, cross-border acquisitions, divestments and restructuring, corporate governance issues, and banking and commercial contracts..Speaking to Bar & Bench Kochhar & Co Managing Partner Rohit Kochhar said, “We had a wonderful working relationship for almost 12 years.
