Rape on promise of marriage: Allahabad High Court orders woman to submit kundali to ascertain mangalik status to decide bail plea of accused

In order to decide the bail plea of a person accused of raping a woman on pretext of marriage, the Allahabad High Court recently ordered the astrology department of the Lucknow University to study a woman's kundali (horoscope or birth chart) to ascertain whether she is a mangalik [Gobind Rai @ Monu v. State Of UP].
