Sambhal violence: Samajwadi MP moves Allahabad High Court to quash FIR

In his plea, Zia-ur-Rehman Barq denied any involvement in the Sambhal violence, which resulted in five deaths, and asserted that the charges against him were politically driven.

Samajwadi leader and Member of Parliament Zia-ur-Rehman Barq has moved the Allahabad High Court seeking protection from arrest in connection with the case registered against him for violence that broke out in Sambhal after a court-ordered survey of a mosque.
