Saradha scam: Calcutta High Court allows Kunal Ghosh to travel abroad to invite business investments for State

The Court said it did not want to comment on the State's wisdom in selecting an undertrial to represent itself abroad, but granted the travel permission after noting that Ghosh has not misused his liberty while on bail.

The Calcutta High Court recently permitted Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and journalist Kunal Ghosh, an accused in the Saradha chit fund scam, to accompany Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in travel abroad to Madrid and Barcelona, for inviting business investments to West Bengal [Kunal Ghosh vs CBI].
